Reports To Director, Software Engineering What You Will Be Doing The Senior Software Engineering Manager will be responsible for managing and driving the execution of the cloud development team. He or she would work closely with Product Management, Design, QA and other software engineering teams.   What You Will Bring to ChargePoint Manage and grow the Cloud development team with talented engineers while maintaining a healthy and positive work environment. Collaborate with other engineering and non-engineering teams to articulate requirements and help guide system design. Provide mentorship and skill development of engineers in the team. Drive execution of various projects and technical issues. This includes project planning and having the intuition to shift priorities amid rapidly changing business environment. Great verbal and written communication skills. Reports To Director, Global Customer Support What You Will Be Doing ChargePoint’s offerings are expanding and we are looking for an EV Field Support Technician. This role will interface with external customers. This position requires the unique combination of customer interfacing skills required to respond to and correct reported outages of Electric Vehicle Supply Equipment (EVSE).  The ideal candidate has a general understanding of electricity and the ability to repair and maintain Electric Vehicle Supply Equipment (EVSE) charging stations. In the course of those duties from time-to-time must work on electrical circuits, wiring, and service equipment components in compliance with local electrical codes, standards, and practices. Operates and understands a variety of electrical testing equipment such as amp meters, ohm meters, multi meters and specialized recording devices, in locating and determining types of electrical malfunctions. Studies blue prints, single line drawings, specifications, and work orders to determine work requirement and sequence of installations.  Willing to learn from tenured Journeyman level Electricians and senior staff to advance knowledge of hands EVSE repair and maintenance.  Responsibilities: Be responsible for the performance of duties of installation, inspection and repair of all electrical/electronic equipment and to respond swiftly and decisively when needed Expected to take the lead role for repair and maintenance of EVSE charging station equipment in the field Responsible for the performance of duties as a fully qualified field technician including inspection and repair of all electrical/electronic equipment in the in the field in commercial office facilities Install, troubleshoot, perform PM's, and repair electrical systems, apparatus, and electrical and electronic components and equipment by following electrical code, manuals, schematic diagrams, blueprints, and other specifications within commercial and industrial settings Works with Electricians to install power supply wiring and conduit for newly installed machines and equipment, following electrical code and blueprints. Following guidelines, you will terminate power supply wiring to EVSE equipment. This will included testing supply line voltages and confirming that the electrical infrastructure is in place and performing to manufacturer specifications. Test and Diagnose malfunctioning apparatus, using test equipment, and replace damaged or broken wires and cables, using hand tools. Test and diagnose malfunctioning EVSE chargers using test equipment, and repairs malfunction with other facilities maintenance employees, facilities engineers and outside contractors to facilitate solutions. Replace faulty electrical components of an EVSE charger to manage the stations down time and to maximize station up time. Assist Support Services with all necessary reporting tools and detailed outcomes to each service call completed Works independently, strong eye for quality, and is responsible for company owned tools and equipment. Must have clean background and driving record. Essential Functions: Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, apparatus, and fixtures, using hand tools and power tools. Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components, using test equipment and hand tools, to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem. Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair, and to ensure compliance with codes. Advise management on whether continued operation of equipment could be hazardous. Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures, using testing devices such as ohmmeters and voltmeters to ensure compatibility and safety of system. Use a variety of tools and equipment such as power construction equipment, measuring devices, power tools, and testing equipment including ammeters and multimeters Perform business management duties such as maintaining records and files, preparing reports and ordering supplies and equipment Repair or replace wiring, equipment, and fixtures, using hand tools and power tools Comply with all regulations and standards of safety in the workplace Have a good working knowledge of safe practices which includes wearing PPE at all times during work site visits Observes safety and security procedures set forth by site hosts Reports potentially unsafe conditions Uses equipment and materials properly Knowledge, Skills, and Attributes Required Experience working on live electrical equipment Ability to troubleshoot electrical systems Good customer and interpersonal skills Basic computer, tablet and smart phone use Working knowledge of electrical theory is a bonus, understanding of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and knowledge of OSHA’s safe energized working clearances and practices. Possess a basic knowledge of materials used in line work. Able to lift in excess of 50 lbs. Forklift experience is a plus. Able to perform physical labor in a variety of outdoor conditions. Must be able to work outside in inclement weather. Capable of working in confined spaces.
