What You Will Be Doing

ChargePoint is seeking a seasoned sales executive who will help drive the continued development of a best-in-class channels sales organization. This individual must be a creative, hands-on executive with proven leadership skills and a legacy of driving channels effectiveness. Experience in architecting and implementing channel programs that include reselling partners and distributors is required and knowledge of electrical contractors is desired.  Individual will work collaboratively with the sales leadership team and with the leadership of other internal functional organizations to coordinate all sales activities and programs necessary to drive a synergistic, high-performing, team-oriented, ethical sales culture. 

This executive will drive the business strategic planning function for Americas Channels including the development of key business processes, metrics and analytics. Additionally, this incumbent oversees the reporting strategies of all key interdependent functions; marketing, product, IT, to product and systems align to enable us to meet our partners and customer’s needs. This person will facilitate the weekly Channels Sales forecast process in the America’s and align with global counterparts to build best practices. Organizes competitive market analysis where appropriate to support channels strategies and channels sales planning cycle. Interacts closely with senior finance leadership and other senior management to set company policy regarding sales operations. Together with Finance and HR, manages and is involved with designing the company's channels sales incentive plans. Establishes a budget methodology quotas that support the financial plans of the business.

What You Will Bring to ChargePoint

The Vice President of Fleet Solutions will drive the growth of ChargePoint’s burgeoning business in the electrification of fleets through strategic planning, revenue-driven sales acumen and project leadership.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Be an expert in all manner of fleet operations including transit, delivery, service, motor pool, off-road and depot operations.  In addition, be an expert in energy management, the TNC/aTaaS ecosystem, telematics, trends and technologies.
  • Leverage existing OEM and vehicle partners and develop strong relationships with key executives within those organizations.  Define new partners and the framework for working as a collective team.
  • Create compelling financial proposition for customers and create a third-party finance partner framework wrapping solution to simplify the decision making process, if required
  • Define potential customer segments to prioritize targets aligning ChargePoint solution to the market opportunity.  Help create value propositions for each of these segments and close deals that result in long-term supply of charging infrastructure and software.
  • Will position ChargePoint as a strategic supplier and emphasize the company’s superior value proposition, while developing offers to satisfy the needs of such strategic customers.
  • Project manage complex and technical projects that are mission-critical to customers including the delivery and support of the service, coordination with partners and active account management with the respective customer.
  • Set milestones and guide Senior Management on progress and the state of the relationships across various business units and assist in the allocation and priority of resources.
  • Will represent ChargePoint thought-leadership in public-speaking opportunities and written publications on this topic.
  • Assess the priority of projects and scope of work, in conjunction with senior management to determine whether changes need to be made.


  • 15 Years business leadership experience
  • General Management/P&L background preferred
  • MBA preferred
