Sell our product to grocers nationwide
The fresh, perishable food industry is massive and growing faster than the packaged consumer goods industry. But, to date, most supply chain technologies have been built for non-perishable goods. This technology gap results in suboptimal decision making--causing billions of dollars of excess food purchasing and waste every year.
So we built Afresh ( with a simple argument: a supply chain company, built specifically for fresh food and using the cutting edge of technology could massively reduce food waste, make nutritious food more accessible, and multiply the profitability of food companies at the same time. 
We’ve grown fast. In our deployments with large grocery chains we have reduced food waste by 25-40% and massively boosted customer profits! Our system is now live with several large regional grocers representing hundreds of stores and billions of revenue. Our backers include Innovation Endeavors (former Google CEO Eric Schmidt’s firm) and Baseline Ventures (first money in Stitchfix, SoFi, Heroku, Instagram).

What will you be doing?As a Senior Sales Development Representative at Afresh, you will be responsible for building relationships with the most powerful people in grocery.  You’ll engage with C-Level executives, SVPs and VPs to intimately understand their business and how Afresh can help drive significant value for them. You will generate qualified leads that result in millions of dollars of new business for Afresh.  We are looking for someone who enjoys customizing their sales approach for each potential new customer, has a strong business acumen, and enjoys tackling new challenges working in a fast-paced environment that is changing every day.
- Partner with CEO and Sales Executives to generate new business opportunities by developing targeted account lists, outbound prospecting (cold calling and email) and in-depth industry and account research- Finding new business to accelerate the company’s growth- Maintain active engagement with new and existing leads using creative follow-up tactics- Create a phenomenal first impression with prospects - Represent Afresh at industry trade shows while educating and engaging with potential customers

What skills do you need?

  • 2+ years of experience in sales development, direct sales and/or lead generation
  • Tremendous desire and excitement to learn and improve, especially about Enterprise SaaS and retail software
  • Strong ability to articulate contractual, technical, and financial value points to customers, including executive leaders
  • Outstanding communication and presentation skills with experience preparing communication targeted at C-level executives
  • True hunter & self-starter with high sales intuition
  • Experience with Salesforce or other prospecting tools preferred
  • Ability to travel up to 30% within the US and Canada
  • Outstanding written, verbal reasoning, and communication skills
