Job Description

Myst helps a variety of energy companies generate highly accurate forecasts. For example, we help renewable energy investors to increase revenues from solar and wind assets by optimizing wholesale market scheduling, which will lead to more investments in renewables. We also help load serving entities, such as utilities and community choice agencies, to lower their energy costs and reduce their carbon emissions through day-ahead load forecasting. 

As a Solutions Manager, your role is central to the growth of Myst’s business. This role will be a fantastic opportunity for somebody interested in energy markets with a desire to grow into a leader in business development or product management. 

Your daily activities may include:   

  • Prepare for, participate in, and lead sales calls with executives at energy companies
  • Lead engagements with Myst’s customers, ensuring timely and successful integration 
  • Develop processes and materials to regularly quantify Myst’s value for customers
  • Engage Myst’s customers to identify additional opportunities for collaboration
  • Collaborate with our data science team to explore additional data providers

Minimum Qualifications

  • Three years of full-time professional experience in a highly analytical role that included in-person interactions with senior executives
  • Deep interest in and basic understanding of the power industry and electricity markets 
  • Natural curiosity in technology domains as Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Highly detail-oriented with an eye for good design

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA or M.S. degree in engineering, science, or a similar technical field of study
  • Professional experience in the U.S. power industry, for instance through management consulting or by working in a customer-facing role at an energy technology company
  • Prior experience in successfully managing relationships with (prospective) customers
  • Affinity to conduct quantitative analyses on large datasets in python, with the goal to influence business development strategy
