Your role and your team: 

In People Operations we strive to provide a world-class employee experience to our Lilians across their entire employee lifecycle. “Putting the human at the center” is our philosophy in everything we do; whether it is creating simple and efficient People processes, providing the People-related knowledge to enable our Lilians from all over the world to thrive or helping Lilium stay compliant. We also support the strategy and decision making of the business by supplying accurate People data.

With our extraordinarily diverse employee base and our international scope, you will be challenged every day of your internship; making sure our administrative processes run smoothly, consulting with Lilians to solve their People-related problems, or helping expats start their new life at Lilium are just a few of the things you can expect. Your Day to Day:

  • Provide exceptional customer experience, support and consultation to our employees, answering questions about all HR-related programs, policies and issues (e.g. absences, on- and offboarding, visa and immigration issues)
  • Support new employees relocating to our German headquarters
  • Champion administrative processes such as contract management and visa compliance
  • Maintain the integrity and quality of our People databases
  • Help develop scalable processes and solutions for a global organization, be an ambassador for the automation and digitalization of our work
  • Build subject matter expertise regarding our internal tools (including internal sources of information such as our intranet) to support and guide employees
  • Assist in the delivery of ad-hoc projects

 

Your Profile:

  • Currently enrolled in a university degree or has recently graduated
  • Fluent in German and English
  • Experience working in a fast-paced international working environment (internship experience accepted)
  • Not afraid to challenge assumptions and provide feedback
  • Excellent at interpreting available data and leveraging it to take decisions
  • Strong customer service mindset and great at building interpersonal relationships
  • Demonstrated problem-solving and critical thinking skills
  • Experience in maintaining data within an HRIS or has worked with similar databases before
  • Proficiency with MS Office applications (including Excel)
  • Basic knowledge of tax and social security issues in Germany as well as employment law preferred
