Your role and your team: 

This role is a senior position and will report to our Head of Software Engineering and will contribute, as part of an integrated cross functional team, to the architecture, design, certification and delivery of the Lilium Jet.

You will have a chance in shaping the future of mobility by not only defining the real-time computer network airborne system, but also developing and certifying components in co-ordination with regulatory partners/suppliers.

You will take responsibility for the development of subsystems and components and ensure their compliance to safety standards.

 

Your Day to Day:

  • Develop next generation avionics solution for eVTOL aircraft
  • Take the ownership of Integrated Modular Avionics system and manage its whole implementation cycle
  • Perform system planning activities, define requirements for subsystems and components
  • Define incremental certification and reuse concept
  • Work together with other departments and external suppliers to find the simplest and most elegant solutions

 Your profile:

  • BA/MA in Aerospace Engineering, Software Engineering
  • At least 7 years of experience in ATA42 system development, civil sector is a strong plus
  • Experience in leading and completing the certification of an IMA platform according to DO-297
  • Deep knowledge in ARINC-653 operating systems, aerospace communication protocols and networks
  • Supplier management experience
  • Involvement in EASA/FAA (or other similar national agencies) audits
  • Target-oriented, driven workstyle with analytic problem-solving skills required
  • Fluent English language skills are essential, Fluent German or any other language would be beneficial
