Tradewater is a mission-based company headquartered in Chicago and operating around the world. We collect, manage, and destroy greenhouse gases. Our projects are designed to fight climate change, create economic development opportunities, and make a profit.

According to Drawdown, by Paul Hawken, one of the most impactful things we can do to prevent runaway climate change is to properly manage harmful refrigerant gases. The Digital Marketing Strategist will be responsible for managing the digital marketing and social media platforms for both the collection and identification team and the marketing and development team. The position is based at our corporate office in the Fulton Market neighborhood of Chicago and reports to the Director of Program Implementation

Primary Responsibilities:

 Work as a part of a team of professionals that is building a pipeline of projects that will identify, collect, and destroy harmful refrigerants from all over the United States.

 Work as part of a team of professionals focused on building demand for Tradewater credits on the voluntary market from both corporations and individuals.

 Have a clear understanding of the needs of our different markets, and design, build, and implement digital campaigns unique to the needs of each, using both paid and organic methods.

 Analyze web traffic metrics and suggest solutions to boost web presence.

 Generate new business leads through social media and online platforms.

 Develop and implement strategies to enhance our current digital platforms, with the goal of increasing customer engagement and conversions.

 Investigate and recommend additional avenues for digital outreach for identification and acquisition activities, as well as for the voluntary market, including recommendations regarding future business partners for the B2B2C and the B2B markets.

 Develop a playbook of responses to inquiries through email, Facebook Messenger, and other social media communication channels.

 Identify and navigate online marketplaces in order to source refrigerants.

 Manage and add content to our websites, Facebook business pages, LinkedIn accounts, Instagram, and Twitter.

 Use customer relationship management software and proprietary data systems to track interactions and evaluate campaigns.

 Help develop blog and other organic content and release it on our social platforms.

 Support graphic design for our platforms and our outward-facing materials (documents, presentations, and advertising).

 Attend and contribute to departmental meetings.

 Make data driven decisions and share findings and rationale with others in a clear and concise manner.

Position Requirements:

 Ability to understand and use data generated from digital platforms including Google Analytics data and social media metrics to derive insights to improve performance.

 Experience using and navigating major social media platforms to public paid and organic content and engage with customers.

 Ability to multitask and run concurrent customer sessions in multiple platforms with a high degree of accuracy and customer engagement.

 A demonstrated passion for environmental sustainability and a personal mission to fight climate change.

 Demonstrated willingness and excitement to learn a new industry.

 Attention to detail and ability to complete tasks thoroughly.

 Proficiency in Spanish is a plus.

Education requirements:

 Bachelor’s degree, equivalent experience, or current enrollment required.
