We have an amazing opportunity for an experienced, high-impact leader to solve hard problems, cultivate our incredibly talented team, and advance the proliferation of renewable energy in a meaningful way. You’ll be responsible for cultivating, building, and leading a high impact team of talented solar finance and solar sales professionals. Your team is responsible for sourcing, structuring, modeling, underwriting, and closing deals to finance commercial-scale solar projects across the country. Your team is also responsible for continuously scrutinizing and investing in Wunder’s internal processes to ensure that as we transact, we get increasingly efficient over time.
Your experience will be valuable, but you’ll lead by example, and that means diving in from day one to deeply understand every aspect of how Wunder’s Demand Team executes transactions, evaluates offtaker credit, models system energy production and cash flows, and ultimately how we structure compelling financing packages for our customers.
A Strong Foundation - You have 10+ years of experience - ideally in finance, energy project development or technology, including 5+ years successfully leading and growing teams. You enjoy strategic thinking as much as you enjoy solving tactical problems alongside your team.
Force Multiplier - You have a track record of coaching people to do their best work. You set the bar high and hold people accountable, in a way that makes others want to follow you.
Autodidact - Although you don't need extensive experience in both solar and finance, you should be adept at filling in your knowledge gaps and getting up the learning curve on new subjects quickly. It will serve you well in project negotiations to be the smartest person on the phone.
Dynamic Range - Your talent in forming a compelling, data-driven vision is matched by your ability to implement the habits and tools required to achieve it. You’re invigorated by the idea of rolling up your sleeves and doing the daily deal execution work, but you also have a radar for signals that challenge your assumptions.
Quantitative - While client interaction is a big part of the job, comfort with numbers is a must. Externally, you’ll be discussing financial products with clients; internally, you’re on top of your team’s metrics and know how to use them to level-up impact.
Effective Pipeline Manager - You have successfully managed complex pipelines and relationships, and employ metrics-based decision making.
A No-Task-Is-Too-Small Attitude - Wunder is a lean financial technology company, but we close big deals and make a big impact. A lot needs to get done in the process, and there's no room for ego here.
