We planted roots in Los Angeles, California. Now, our fleet of electric scooters are available to riders in cities around the world for short trips or the “last mile” of their journey. In our first year, Bird launched in over 100 cities and provided over 10 million rides. And we’re only just getting started.

Our EMEA Legal department is a dynamic, multinational and approachable team, working closely with the wider business to help enable its strategy and innovation in a responsible, compliant manner. We’re looking for a proactive and enthusiastic Paralegal to support the department. 

Responsibilities

  • Corporate housekeeping for around 40 entities in EMEA and APAC
  • Contract management including maintaining and managing the contract database and legal tools to support efficiency in the legal department
  • Provide overall administrative and legal support to the team
  • Organizing for apostilles and notarizations
  • Develop best practices, improve work processes within the legal team and key stakeholders (e.g. procurement)
  • Be involved in legal research requests by the teams
  • Review of NDAs, simple commercial contracts

Requirements

  • Bachelors in legal studies
  • Fluent in English, written and spoken, good command of the Dutch language is a plus, additional language skills are preferred
  • 3+ years of relevant work experience as a Paralegal/Legal Assistant in an international operating legal department or in private practice
  • Experience with corporate housekeeping, including drafting of corporate resolutions relating to various jurisdictions
  • Experience working with contract management systems and electronic signature software (e.g. DocuSign) is a plus.
  • Able to work independently with a service-oriented mindset;
  • Accurate, attention to detail, pro-active, able to prioritize and meet deadlines, can-do attitude;
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills in a multi-country and multi-cultural environment;
  • The candidate must be eligible to work in the Netherlands
