About the role

We are looking for an experienced financial manager to undertake all aspects of financial management, including financial reporting, budget and forecasts preparation, corporate accounting as well as development of internal control policies and procedures. The person we're looking for can improve strategic and financial decision making across the organization.

You are right for this role if you are passionate about creating value through insightful analysis that drives business decisions. You enjoy building strong cross-functional relationships to help the company understand how all the pieces fit together. You have experience in scaling globally or have an interest in doing so. You see the bigger picture, excel at juggling multiple priorities and consistently go above and beyond. You also exhibit a high attention to detail and with strong analytical skills.

Responsibilities 

  • Manage all accounting operations including Billing, A/R, A/P, GL and Cost Accounting
  • Coordinate and direct the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts and report variances
  • Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements
  • Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls
  • Identify ways to automate processes, increasing efficiency and accuracy

Qualifications

  • A Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or another relevant field
  • 3+ years experience with financial controlling or analysis
  • Understanding of non-profits/foundation industries
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and other financial reporting tools
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • A highly analytical and inquisitive work style with a keen attention to detail  – but also ability to see the big picture
  • Experience with scaling globally a plus
  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
  • Ability to work proficiently in English
  • A strong passion for Compensate's mission
