About SkyCool:

At SkyCool Systems, our mission is to deliver sustainable, energy-efficient cooling solutions to customers interested in reducing energy costs and carbon footprint. 

We’ve developed a thin film coating that can cool below the ambient air temperature with no electricity input, and without evaporating water. The films can stay cooler than the air temperature, even under direct sunlight. We apply the film to rooftop panels and integrate them with air conditioning and refrigeration systems. The panels can be used as an add-on to air conditioning and refrigeration systems and in some circumstances even replace an air condensing unit. Our technology is accelerating the transition to a cleaner and more sustainable future. 

About the Role:

We are looking for a motivated, experienced sales leader to help scale our business across the U.S. and globally. In this role, you will be responsible for executing on our overall go-to-market (GTM) strategy by developing and driving a comprehensive sales strategy. In addition, you'll also have the chance to work with our Executive team to define opportunities to breach new markets and shape the potential and product-market fit of our solutions. This is a strategic, yet very hands-on, solution-oriented role given our current early stage. We’re looking for an individual that will immediately be able to make an impact by selling innovative technology to the industrial and commercial cooling markets. We’re looking for someone with sales experience in the commercial/industrial refrigeration sector and a track record of gaining and managing clients. The candidate should also ideally have experience designing business solutions and working cross-functionally across a fast-growing business.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the leadership team to solidify and iterate on SkyCool’s overall GTM strategy.
  • Build a robust, scalable, and effective sales process to execute on the GTM.
  • Apply a deep understanding of prospects, customers, partners and SkyCool’s overall market to define, develop, and deliver a sales strategy in line with the company’s goals.
  • Develop and maintain collaborative and high quality relationships with key customers and partners.
  • Build a solid operating cadence and focus around sales pipeline, forecasting, sales, deployment, installation and maintenance.
  • Drive sales strategy and planning through the creation of key objectives and measurements.
  • Develop and create product positioning, sales materials, and messaging collateral that can be used to educate customers.

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of hands-on successful selling experience.
  • Experience in the industrial and commercial refrigeration sectors with a network of potential customers and partners preferred.
  • Excellent leadership skills, including the ability to develop trust and credibility, lead by example, develop and motivate high-performing teams.
  • Thrive in a fast-paced dynamic and entrepreneurial environment with a sense of urgency and accountability.
  • Strategic problem-solver who is also hands-on and gets to the root cause of issues.
  • Experience operating cross-functionally to drive strategic initiatives that impact product roadmap and general business direction.
  • Experience incorporating channel partners into a sales strategy.
  • Exceptional executive presence, business acumen, and presentation skills.
  • Self-motivated, positive and “can do” attitude.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent negotiation skills.
