System Requirements Technical Lead

Job Summary

May Mobility is entering an exciting phase of growth as we expand our first-of-its-kind autonomous shuttle and mobility services across the nation. We are looking for a System Requirement Technical Lead  to design and integrate our next-generation safety ECU.  This role will be part of the Autonomous Drive Kit (ADK) Team and will be responsible for managing the entire project lifecycle of our Safety ECU.

Job Responsibilities

  • Technical leader focused on training and driving requirements based development across the team
  • Investigate and understand the latest regulations, standards and market requirements on automated driving to set competitive goals
  • Utilize the appropriate requirements traceability tools to optimize the workflow across the team
  • Work with Product Managers to derive feature and solution requirements and assist in decomposition into robust technical requirements
  • Influence architecture, drive discussions and lead trade studies, focusing on safety and fault tolerance
  • Manage and collaborate with vendors/partners and partners to derive maximum results and win-win
  • Effectively communicate results to stakeholders
  • Develop clear and comprehensive technical requirements, unpack them into to designable and testable functions
  • Major contributor to the functional safety team and culture
  • Manage requirements across the complete product life cycle including development, testing, manufacturing, and field operation teams

Qualifications and Skills

Required Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or similar field
  • 3+ years experience of systems development and requirements management in ADAS/AD area or comparable area
  • Expertise with modern systems engineering requirements management practices and tools
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize multiple topics, make a project plan and lead it to the completion 
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, especially the ability to communicate complex engineering issues to a diverse team
  • Demonstrated documentation skills to take detailed meeting minutes, and prepare presentation material
  • Team player mindset to collaborate and to proactively support a cross functional team. Be able to lead others to solve technical problems even when you don’t manage them directly.
  • Ability to manage key supplier and partner relationships

Desired Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or similar field
  • 7+ years experience of systems or embedded system development and requirements management in the area of ADAS/AD
  • Experience with FMEAs, hazard analysis, fault trees and/or branch termination analysis
  • Experience in Functional Safety (ISO2626)
  • Experience in ADAS/AD Safety mechanism development or validation
  • Experience in ADAS/AD SW or embedded system development
  • Coding and/or scripting experience in high level languages (SysML, Python)
