About the role:

This role will play a key role in programs across the comms and marketing functions throughout Summer 2021, working closely with the team to support the development of strategic strategies, programs and activities for sharing Cruise company and industry stories with key audiences. 


Day-to-day responsibilities Include:

  • Support key projects spanning planning, strategy, communications and creative development. 
  • Drive research and analysis of competitive media landscape, identifying and tracking relevant coverage, trends and new opportunities. 
  • Help manage activity reporting and alignment across comms and marketing programs. 
  • Work closely with communications colleagues, engineering, marketing and other key stakeholders within Cruise to support the company’s storytelling efforts externally.


You should apply for this role if you have the following qualifications:

  • Pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s degree preferably in journalism, public relations, communications, marketing or business.
  • Strong knowledge of comms principles, practices and procedures through prior comms experience at a tech company, or demonstrated interest in acquiring these skills through a summer internship.
  • Ability to think, plan, and execute on multiple projects simultaneously in an organized fashion and work efficiently with a global team of colleagues and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with the ability to stay focused on the big picture in a fast-moving environment
  • Comfort with ambiguity: apply structured, analytical thinking to new, undefined problems.
