Job Description


We are currently seeking qualified candidates for a Graphic Design Internship with our Digital Marketing & Communications team. Reporting to the Head of Communications, the Graphic Design Intern will create engaging, appealing and on-brand visual corporate communications for a variety of media for Terramera, including the entire process of defining requirements, visualizing and crafting cohesive graphics, including illustrations, layouts, photographs and animation and video. This position will also share and reshape the visual aspects of marketing materials, presentations, digital graphics, brochures, product packaging, and exhibitions.


  • Develop illustrations, animations, videos and other designs using Adobe software;
  • Develop toolkits of collateral based on Terramera’s brand guidelines;
  • Keep informed of graphic trends;
  • Envision and instigate opportunities for new visual communication assets;
  • Drive continuous iterations and improvements based on feedback;
  • Suggest layout and graphic improvements for existing assets;
  • Test graphics across various media to ensure optimal impact;
  • Ensure all visual communications abide by the branding guidelines; and
  • Assist with special projects as required.


  • Canadian citizen, permanent resident or person granted refugee status in Canada;
  • 30 years of age or younger (as per wage subsidy program requirements);
  • Post-secondary education in Interactive Arts & Design / Marketing / Visual Communications;
  • 2+ years of progressive experience in Graphic Design;
  • Excellent knowledge and proficiency in design software applications and tools such as Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, After Effects, Premiere Pro) and Microsoft Suite (PowerPoint); and
  • Personal portfolio that contains a strong and varied design approach, as well as specific examples of fully realized and produced graphic projects ready for demonstration.
