The Sales Strategy Manager will be a key contributor to the success of Impossible Foods in the retail channel. This individual will provide thought leadership which will enable continued growth for the company. This position requires experience with CPG food sales and solid understanding of sales strategies. This role will report to the Director of Retail Category Management & Sales Strategy in Redwood City, CA.

You Will

  • Demonstrate thought leadership to drive growth for Impossible products in a rapidly growing and exciting category
  • Utilize syndicated POS data to analyze business performance and develop insights on key growth drivers
  • Build distribution, shelving, merchandising, and pricing strategies for Impossible to maximize performance in retail
  • Collaborate with our product development team to develop a strong retail innovation pipeline incorporating key customer feedback and insights
  • Partner with our pricing and finance teams to ensure that retail pricing plans align with trade strategies to maximize retail sales, promotional lifts and trade return on investment
  • Lead customer business planning process for the retail team
  • Develop and maintain the customer selling toolkit
  • Be the sales point for any in market tests, providing the sales point of view internally, as well as coordination with the broader retail sales team
  • Support the development of customer presentations, ensuring field sales has all of the relevant information they need to sell to our retailers
  • Manage three Account Coordinators that will own customer set up and sales enablement processes

You Have

  • A genuine interest and passion for Impossible Food’s mission 
  • 5+ years of CPG food sales experience, preferably experience developing sales strategies
  • Recent experience growing a brand and pioneering retail sales
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with business partners (R&D, Marketing, Finance, Strategy, Operations)
  • Demonstrated thought leadership with creative solutions to drive brand growth
  • Strong problem solving and project management skills, with the ability to navigate a constantly evolving company
  • Ability to clearly communicate the main takeaways to people from a wide range of functions
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and high-growth environment
