The Company


At Span, we are building products to drive the rapid adoption of renewable energy and enable a more modern, flexible grid. Span’s smart panel replaces the standard electrical panel to become the center for connected power in the home, providing intelligent load-balancing and revolutionary edge-of-grid controls through the Span mobile app.

The Role 


We are seeking an experienced project coordinator to manage our direct to consumer deployment of Span products.  The role will be a combination of customer service, project management, problem solving and sales. In this role, you will work directly with both homeowners and electricians to coordinate the customer's journey from sale to final inspection. You will cross-functionally collaborate with our sales, application engineering, electrician training, and finance teams to ensure each customer has an amazing experience.


  • Ensure timely installations with delighted customers

    • Be the customer point of contact from sale through installation of their Span Smart Panel

    • Take ownership of the subcontractor schedule including job flow and customer experience

    • Use and promote straightforward, honest, and open communication style with our customers

  • Develop a healthy network of Span subcontractors

    • Coordinate with subcontractors to set up installation, determine scope, etc

    • Build on Span’s existing installer network to expand it to be nationwide, qualifying and signing on new electrical subcontractors

    • Negotiate pricing and volume of jobs with installers

  • Continuously improve Span’s installations

    • Problem solve unique situations as they arise

    • Assess, understand and communicate operational and customer experience hurdles to leadership

    • Identify areas for process improvement and assist with creating and revising the process to ensure better efficiency and customer experience

  • Understand and promote Span products and the Span brand

Required Qualifications

  • 2+ years work experience in a customer service role, project management/coordination, electrical project experience and/or general construction

  • Detail and process oriented, extremely organized

  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills

  • Understanding of electrical panelboard installations.

  • Creative, Passionate, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment

  • Self-starter, willing to take on additional responsibilities as the team continues to grow

  • Demonstrated passion for Span and a team-oriented personality

Bonus Qualifications

  • Hands-on experience with electrical wiring, construction, or product development

  • Understanding of construction drawings

  • Understanding of solar photovoltaic (PV) and energy storage system installation
