Check out the job opening and requirements below: The Head of Corporate Procurement will work closely with the Head of Financial Operations in building a high performing sourcing function in a growing and dynamic company. This is a hands-on role managing and building a small team for strategic sourcing in support of the Marketing, Sales, Facilities, Real Estate, Retail, Human Resources, Accounting, Finance, Legal and executive departments. The successful candidate will have experience in establishing ERP business processes and developing a sourcing strategy, including capital equipment projects. This role is new to the organization and the successful candidate will need extensive cross-functional experience, and the ability to influence and collaborate in developing and creating positive business partnerships across the company globally
Develop and implement global procurement business processes, policies, improvements and standardization across the company.
Ensure company departments and business partners have a clear understanding of purchasing policies, finance policies and the procurement approval matrix or signing authority.
Identify and achieve cost reductions through strong analytical and leadership skills, meeting year-over-year cost reduction goals.
Develop supplier relationships to quickly resolve issues, create and execute a category strategy, and ensure vendor/supplier alignment with the direction of the company.
Apply industry best practices to ensure a successful implementation of the new ERP system in partnership with the Direct Procurement team and the SAP project team.
Establish metrics to include cost savings and avoidance, policy compliance, purchase order cycle time, and supplier compliance.
Develop category strategies and vendor/supplier engagement processes and policies in alignment with the company’s overall mission.
Ensure that all suppliers meet or exceed Days Payable Outstanding (DPO) objectives.
Leadership and development of indirect procurement team members.
Evaluate and audit current vendor master, prior to migration to a new ERP system.
Bachelor’s degree in finance, human resources or related field, including accounting, finance, and business administration, MBA & Professional Certification (CPM, CSPM) are a plus.
Minimum 8-10 years of indirect or direct sourcing management experience including all phases of strategic sourcing and category strategies, supplier relationship management, and project management.
Experience working with legal counsel to negotiate contract terms and conditions.
Strong leadership skills including the ability to influence senior management through effective communication and presentation skills and persuasive positioning
Strong interpersonal and team-building skills to manage relationships throughout the organization.
Ability to independently manage multiple projects from conception to completion in a fast-paced, global team environment
Excellent presentation skills including advanced PowerPoint or google slides skills.
Familiarity with ADP, SAP, Oracle, Google Docs, MS Word, Excel, and other common applications used for procurement processing.
