Join Indigo’s Marketplace growth team. You’ll be moving the needle for the business on a weekly basis through rapid experimentation and testing new design and messaging concepts. The pace is fast, the end-product is unknown, but we’ll iterate and learn quickly with engineering, product, and analytics counterparts to have real business impact. Speed wins, when we learn fast we win. 

Our job is to meet customers where they are in their lifecycle and help them get to the next phase in their journey confidently and easily. Whether it's taking friction out of their onboarding experience, optimizing grain bid detail pages for conversion or gamifying some aspect of their grain marketing experience, you'll be focused on engaging people in ways that are truly meaningful to them and their unique needs.

As the designer for this critical team you’ll help us accomplish our goals by figuring out what makes the user’s brain tick, what gets them interested (and what doesn’t) as proven by analytics data. You’ll then determine what mini-feature, stunning visual or relatable, understandable messaging compels them to trust Indigo and come back into the product - iterating constantly until the behavioral data proves we’re on a path to better business results.

Responsibilities:

  • Gather foundational knowledge and insights from across the business, or directly from users.
  • Translate complex requirements, quantitative data and qualitative insights into simple solutions
  • Collaborate with Dev to ensure designs are buildable
  • Work within and contribute to our component library, while also going beyond it when necessary to create delight.
  • Balance business goals and deadlines with best practices, keeping the big picture in mind while focusing on week’s execution details
  • Employ behavioral analytics data to prioritize, understand and address opportunities for increased engagement
  • Design, deploy and iterate in-market experiments (A/B tests etc) to find optimal engagement solutions
  • Seek out opportunities to drive growth amidst the entire Indigo product suite and collaborate with other designers and teams to inject “growth hooks” throughout the customer journey.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years professional experience designing for desktop and mobile products
  • Experience designing complex responsive software web applications
  • Experience in an agile environment, working closely with Product and Dev teams
  • Experience with experimentation design (A/B, MVT, Usability, etc.)
  • Bonus points for:
    • Prior specific experience as a “Growth Designer”
    • Visual design
    • Moderating research sessions
    • Copywriting
