Your role and your team:

This role is a senior position and will report to our Head of Software Engineering and will contribute, as part of an integrated cross functional team, to the architecture, design, certification and delivery of the Lilium Jet.

You will have a chance in shaping the future of mobility by developing and certifying system and components in co-ordination with regulatory partners/suppliers.

Responsibility is not limited to software engineering only but covers all functional aspects of the product.


Your Day to Day:

  • Develop next generation electronic solution for eVTOL aircraft
  • Take the ownership of Software Package and participate in system-, safety-, architecture- and software development activities
  • Contribute to planning activities, define requirements on system and software levels
  • Define functional architecture of the system using MBSE/MBD approach, develop interfaces and define work-packages
  • Architect and design safety critical software
  • Work together with other departments and external suppliers to find the simplest and most elegant solutions


Your Profile:

  • BA/MA in System Engineering, Software Engineering
  • At least 7 years of experience in airborne software development and verification, civil sector is a plus
  • Expert knowledge in DO-178C and DO-331 (Model-Based Development and Verification)
  • Hands-on experience in MATLAB and Simulink is mandatory
  • Experience in holding SOI audits with EASA/FAA
  • Demonstrated experience and success in managing complex technical projects
  • Target-oriented, driven workstyle with analytic problem-solving skills required
  • Fluent English language skills are essential, Fluent German or any other language would be beneficial
